It all started when…
Mission Bit was founded in 2012 by Tyson Daughter to address the access to technology divide in San Francisco. In March of 2015, Cook became CEO of Mission Bit as it's first employee to oversee and build the organization. Today, Mission Bit has 20 employees running 15 coding courses and several workshops that serve about 400 students per year.
Cook built Mission Bit to focus it's efforts on using coding education to end generational poverty for students that attend high school across the San Francisco Bay Area. To date, the organization has served 1800 students and aims to reach 10,000 by the year 2020.
